Weltenburger Hell is Germany’s best Helles/Münchner-style lager!

Great joy in Weltenburg: At the prestigious World Beer Award 2025, our Weltenburger Kloster Hell was named “Country Winner Germany” – and thereby crowned the best Lager in Germany!

The award ceremony took place on July 10th as part of the German Brewers’ Day at the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin. Each year, this competition honors the best beers in the country and brings together brewers from all over Germany to celebrate the diversity and quality of German brewing craftsmanship. With the title of “Country Winner,” our Lager now moves on to the next round of the competition: In August, the national winners from around the world will compete for the title of “World’s Best Helles.” We are proud of this major recognition and would like to thank our entire brewing team, whose daily passion and dedication to traditional monastic craftsmanship ensure that our Lager tastes so uniquely exceptional.
